The Perfect Summer Morning: Cardio & Yoga
You love yoga, but you feel like you want that cardio workout too. You know that 20-60 minutes of cardio at least three times per week improves cholesterol levels, improves heart and lung function, and improves muscle mass. Most of the time, you have to choose between your yoga class and cardio, but you want them both!
You know that a regular yoga practice not only reduces stress but also strengthens the body and creates those long, lean muscles that you like. Your yoga practice increases flexibility, reduces the risk of osteoporosis, helps you sleep better, eases migraines, boosts immunity and even helps you shift those stubborn patterns of food cravings by strengthening your mind-body connection… but you want your cardio, too.
Well, it’s time you gave yourself both! Join me every Tuesday and Thursday this summer for a bike ride from Culver City to Yogaraj in West LA. I depart Tellefson Park (Link) at 8:20am for a 25 minute ride to the studio.
Yoga starts at 9am, so you’ve got time to catch your breath and maybe even meditate before class. 25 min ride + meditation + 75 min yoga + 25 min ride (ever so slightly down hill) = the perfect summer morning!
Yes, you get your yoga and your cardio, some vitamin D and meditation. Healthy living summer crush!
Think about how awesome you will feel at the end of the summer if you commit to this even once per week! Twice! Give me a shout if you want to ride with me.
Happy pedaling, happy down dogging, happy summering! Jennifer
