The Purple Dot Yoga Project started with a simple desire to empower the individual from survivor to thriver, and help them in realizing their strength and worth as powerful people through the practice and philosophy of Yoga.

We use Yoga as a tool to bring the public together and open up a conversation around domestic violence, because we firmly believe that it takes a tribe to make a difference.

Created by one of my mentors, Liz Arch. Primal Yoga® is a dynamic yoga and martial arts fusion style that merges Vinyasa yoga with the artistry of Kung Fu and the grace of Tai Chi into an athletic, heat-building flow, while focusing on alignment, balance, strength, power, and flexibility.

Coming from a karate background, this was a very natural fusion for me. In my first Primal Yoga Flow class, I thought, "My body has wanted to move like this for a decade!" 

I weave in Primal Yoga Flow poses in to my regular Vinyasa classes. A little tai chi breath here, some qigong tapping there, even some ninja blocks and kicks once in a while. Don't worry, it's still yoga! And it's great fun. Come practice!

We inform, educate and work with organizations that are ready to shift the current media paradigm to one that is more inclusive, equitable and just, and challenge industry leaders and media creators to expand their vision of what a yogi looks like.

200 hour E-RYT certified: HOLISTIC YOGA FLOW

This style of Yoga strengthens and invigorates the body through power vinyasa. Power vinyasa encompasses strength, balance, flexibility, stamina and detoxification, all within the context of a seamless, unbroken flow that links breath with movement. We like to think of it as an athletic meditation in motion. Holistic Yoga Flow goes beyond the physical to incorporate pranayama, chanting, meditation, subtle anatomy, philosophy, mythology, ayurvedic medicine and lifestyle components.

As a Manduka Yoga Ambassador, I've been honored to lead a benefit class for ProjectOM, the May 2017 campaign with the Susan G Komen Foundation that aimed to get One Million yogis practicing together around the world in support of eradicating breast cancer. In this professional yoga teacher training program, I had the privilege of working with some of the most experienced teachers in Los Angeles. The Yoga Works method focuses on safe alignment in classical poses, and you'll get the benefits of this most in my Fundamentals classes, where I teach the "how" of yoga asana (postures) even more than in the vinyasa classes.
